Change to the Slim-Player
Carter happily found a number of podcasters who are making the Innertoob Slim-Player a regular part of their podcast blogs. Unfortunately, the edit button at far right didn’t launch the pop-up window with the Innertoob player on many of these sites.
Since the Flash player can’t open a pop-up window at a particular size without the help of Javascript, we were including a Javascript snippet in the slim-player code people could copy and paste from the Innertoob player into their sites. Unfortunately, it seems that a number of blogging packages modify the Javascript so that it doesn’t function (we had modified it so it would work in WordPress and seemed to work okay in other packages, but the failure rate was too high).
To make sure that visitors to sites using the slim-player have the ability to jump directly to the time-post relevant to where they are listening in the slim-player, we altered the Flash so that it now simply opens a new window. This can be done without calling external Javascript, so it should now be functioning universally.
If you are concerned that now this full-screen window blocks out your branding elements, please try creating a personalized banner that will be visible whenever anyone views any toob you create.
Please ask if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Daniel
