A few weeks ago, we released the embeddable Innertoob™ player. The embeddable player can serve as a complete commenting system for podcasters…simply copy and paste the iframe code from the Innertoob player “link” dialog to enable your listeners to read and post their comments.

The following week, we released the Innertoob™ slim-player. The slim-player is a 26 pixel high, variable width MP3 player. But this player has a kick: as the MP3 plays, the subject of each time-post encountered is displayed in the slim player. You can even drag the playback head to scan for particular time-post subjects! Clicking the edit buton at the right side of the player opens a pop-up window with the embeddable Innertoob™ player.

Last week, we improved the account creation and account maintenance interface. Visit www.innertoob.com and check out the links in the upper right corner. From the profile management screen, we made it very easy to include a clickable banner across the top of any toob you create. Now you can make certain that anyone viewing your toobs sees your branding!

We also added a FAQ to address some of the more common questions people have about Innertoob™. If you have a question, be sure to send it our way via the comment form. If it becomes a frequent question (or if we really think it should be added), it may make it into the FAQ.

In the works is an exciting new feature we’re calling “ToobGroups”. ToobGroups will give you the ability to create groups of Innertoob usernames from within your profile. For each toob you create, you will be able to select which group to apply to that toob. Each group has a different permission level. Everyone in the basic permission group will be able to simply reply, even when your toob is locked to the rest of the world. On the other hand, everyone in the “inner circle” (or perhaps, inner-toob) will be able to create new time-posts within your toob. This may evolve over the next couple weeks as we implement it and give it a whirl, but it looks good from where we sit.

Exciting times for interactive podcasting and vidcasting!
