Zoomline and Searchability
Last Friday, we published our first significant update to the Innertoob player. The key feature you may notice in terms of usability is the “zoomline”.
When interacting with long podcasts or videos, or when working on a screen with low resolution, dragging the primary playback head even one pixel could jump several seconds in the media. The zoomline addresses this issue by displaying a circular handle with a plus sign directly below the primary playback head.

Grabbing this handle opens the zoomline: a fine-grain, mini-timeline for precision scrubbing through audio or video.

The other significant update to the Innertoob player is the generation of an HTML page for every toob. These pages are accessible through the “browse toobs” link on the innertoob homepage (http://www.innertoob.com). This addition makes toobs searchable by webcrawlers for inclusion into search engines. So now your time-posts not only give people direct access to points in podcasts and videos, but search engines can direct people to particular points in podcasts and video based on keyword searches.
Now that’s powerful!
